msff2 + win7x64 + FS2004 - freeze

Hi ,

I'm using FSforce with greart joy for the past few months.

Once in a while my flight simulator will freeze. This always happens during taxi or take-off, when joystick vibrates intensely.
When flying Carenado planes with retracting gear, the problem happens almost immediately when I drop my gears down.

1. The test application works great.
2. The event viewer only shows an FS9 hang:

i cant find the log files or cfg files in order to enable logging.

Please help me. Happy holidays

Enabled debug logging by adding the following line to the [General] section of FSForce.cfg:

DebugLog=1

The .cfg file can be found in the folder in which you installed FS Force.

Then send me the resulting logfile.

i know it's annoying...

Im a SW engineer myself, and I hate it when I get this reply from my QA team, but "As soon as I enabled debugging the problem is gone".

I'll keep you posted. In the mean time I can upload the current log file.
It does show some warning

The sim finally crashed and I have sent the log file to the support email address.

Thanks

Hi,

Was a solution found? I downloaded FS Force yesterday and seem to be suffering from the same symptoms (FF2, FS2004, Win7 64bit).

Cheers,
Benny

When I enable the log file, every time the sim crashes, the last log line is:

MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL

Same here. I usually suffer this freeze when applying brakes while taxxiing - an action which requires a lot of force feedback.

Logfile sent to support.

Cheers,
Benny

bgey, does this tend to happen with all aircraft, or just specific ones. Please specify.

I've had it happen with the Caravan, King Air and stock 737.

Getting the same issue here with MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL with win7x64 here as well with the new Iris Dynamics yoke and Win7 with FS9.
I am unable to even get into the options in the profiler without FSForce locking up.

It is just 3 lines in the log repeating
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL

FS9 problems...

FS9
Win7
FSForce 1 (Ironically brand new download but says V 1.04 in .cfg)
Iris Force Feedback Yoke

All I get in Log is:
Starting FS Force DLL Sun Mar 06 11:35:13 2016

Cessna C172SP Skyhawk

AirEffect.ProgramForces 1 : DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED

AirEffect.ProgramForces 1 : DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED

MECH_EFFECTS_TMR DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED & VFW_E_FILTER_ACTIVE & DMO_E_TYPE_NOT_ACCEPTED

MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL

MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL

MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL

And then a hard lockup of FS9 entirely. Similarly, when I launch Profile Manager and try to test a profile FSForce locks up

Tried running everything as admin to no avail. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance
Paul

Do you have any other add-ons? Have you tried selectively disabling?

Other than that I don't have any other suggestions. I only offer minimal support for FS Force 1.
