Vista/Win7 Issues

Post by RussDirks » Sun Oct 19, 2008 3:33 am

If you're using Vista/Win7 with FSX, and you're using FS Force 2.06 or earlier, be sure to download and install the most recent version of FS Force. Modifications were made to improve compatibility with these more recent operating systems.

FS9 Vista (64 bit)

Post by asijsk » Sat Nov 29, 2008 9:09 pm

The FS Force homepage indicates v1.06 should be used for FS9, but another post in the forum indicates v2.07 should be used for Vista. I am running FS9 on a Vista OS.

I loaded and installed v1.06, and the installation went fine. However when I load FS9 I get an FS Force message saying I need Administrator privileges (which I have) to run it, and it will not run. I've double checked that I do indeed have Admin privileges, and havent had a problem loading other software.

Can you advise which version I should install for FS9/Visat and how to get past the Administrator issue.

Thanks.

If you're still using FS9, use FS Force v1.xx. I've edited the above post to clarify.

Try running FS9 as an administrator : right-click on the FS9 icon and select "Run as administrator".

If you don't already know, you can set FS9 to permanently run as administrator by right-clicking on the FS9 icon, select Properties / Compatibility, then check "Run this program as administrator".
