Non-joystick forces

I'm encouraged to see this software... but I like to fly the heavies, and that means a yoke. As we know, there is no force-feedback yoke available, and even if there was it would be unrealistic for flying modern airliners (so I hear, as far as fly-by-wire goes).
So, I was wondering: has anyone adaped force feedback to a tactile transducer? I use them to replicate very low bass in my homebuilt cockpit ( http://www.chrisanders.com ), but I'm intruiged by the description of the forces described in the walkthrough.
I think there could be a use to transmit those forces to the body of a cockpit, without complex full motion mechanics.
Any thoughts?
Chris
