Trim with joystick axis not buttons/keys

Can anyone, please, help with the following:

I currently use a trim wheel, setup in FS2004 as a joystick axis, to control elevator trim. This is realistic as the Piper aircraft I fly use a trim wheel not buttons. Can FSForce trim be set this way, as the documentation I have seen only refers to buttons/keys?

Currently FS Force is programmed to respond to button presses for trim, so unfortunately your setup wouldn't work with FS Force trim.
