Hi there,
Brand new to FSForce and trying to try it out before I purchase and activate.
Using FS9.1 Win 7x64 Iris Dynamics FFB Yoke
With ForceTest.exe I get:
Enumerated Joystick : Iris Dynamics Yoke
Creating effects for Iris Dynamics Yoke
Supported Effects :
- GUID_ConstantForce
- GUID_RampForce
- GUID_Square
- GUID_Sine
- GUID_Triangle
- GUID_SawtoothUp
- GUID_SawtoothDown
- GUID_Spring
- GUID_Damper
- GUID_Inertia
- GUID_Friction
However when I run the profiler it locks up and I get:
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL
And when I run FS9 it also locks up and I get:Cessna C172SP Skyhawk
AirEffect.ProgramForces 1 : DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED
AirEffect.ProgramForces 1 : DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR DIERR_NOTEXCLUSIVEACQUIRED & VFW_E_FILTER_ACTIVE & DMO_E_TYPE_NOT_ACCEPTED
MECH_EFFECTS_TMR E_FAIL
FFB and trim are disabled per the manual.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

Re: Iris Dynamics +FS9 + Win7 Lockup
I'm expecting delivery of an Iris Dynamics yoke in the next week or two, so hopefully that will allow me to do some testing. Obviously the folks at Iris were the ones to develop the software drivers for their product. I know they did a fair bit of testing to make sure their drivers worked with the FSX / FS Force 2 combination. I don't know if they did any testing with FS9.
I do know that the FS9 / FS Force 1 combination was never as stable as the FSX / FS Force 2 / SimConnect combination, and due to the legacy nature of FS9, I'm not planning on doing any significant revisions in that area. If you can get it to work ... great! If not ... try FSX.
