Error message when starting fs force

i have a saitek cyborg evo joystick and run fsx on a w7 x 64bit system but would like to know what this error message means when i try to run fs force 2.5.
Error Initializing FS Force
Action:Disable Auto Center
Code:DIERR_UNSUPORTED
Also there is no force test of any sort but will test in fsx.
Have checked the saitek support forums and have tried to apply some of their suggested fixes for similar w7 problems but nothing seems to work.
Have you any ideas ?

You're joystick may be defective.

unplugged the joystick to test on another computer & when I plugged it back in to mine up came a message suggesting I check 3 things one of which was to make sure force feedback was turned off in fsx.
Magic ! now tests ok.
