getting G940 from Santa ....
Russ, did you get an evaluation unit from Logitech yet? I plan to use it for FSX, SF2 and Falcon4 AF and would like the benefit of your experience as a starting point.

I am THRILLED, Russ! Opened my G940 this morning, hooked everything up, calibrated and installed FSForce. Took off from KSEA in the Piper cub, felt the pavement strips, tried a stall & got buffet and landed (badly) and felt the tire impacts.
The moderators at Logitech highly recommend your product for FSX, and they are right.
Just sent payment for the license.
Nice job! Have a pleasant holiday.

FS Force makes a huge difference to G940
Hi
Just wanted to say how relieved I am with what FS Force has done with my G940 and FSX. Before FS Force I was fighting with the stick forces and now the force feedback actually makes sense. So glad I came across this program.
I reckon Logitech should get you on their team! Now if only we could get you to write a similar program for a couple of other flight sims I can think of...

Trim wheel setup for G940
In case anyone else is wondering, I found that the following line inserted into FSForce.cfg will activate the Trim Wheel 1 on the G940 joystick.
TrimWheel=Joystick:0:RzAxis
Works the elevator trim like a treat. Am using FSX SP2 under Win 7 64 bit.

Re: Trim wheel setup for G940
I'm using the same TrimWheel option for my G940. But I recognized that the buttons 3 and 4 remain assigned to trim up and down.garymc wrote:In case anyone else is wondering, I found that the following line inserted into FSForce.cfg will activate the Trim Wheel 1 on the G940 joystick.

Is it possible to assign these two button to the defaut button assignment from FSX?
Thanks, heimue
I updated the help files a little while ago to include information for the G940. It's located here, near the end of the page. There's also a section there about assigning trim to buttons other than 3 and 4.

Thank you for this quick reply, but I tried to setup a something different.
I already assigned the trim up and down option to the trimwheel of the joystick according to the help file - and that works fine.
What I want to do now is disable the default assignment of buttons 3 and 4 (so that FSX has the same behaviour as without using fs force 2 regarding those two buttons).
Is that possible?
Thanks, heimue.
